Prada F/W20 Saffiano Belt With Case – BAGAHOLICBOY

Prada’s Fall-Winter 2020 show opened with an empowering look, demonstrated to perfection by model Meghan Collison wearing a boxy jacket over a fringed skirt, cinched with a Saffiano leather belt that set the tone for the rest of the 60-look collection. She didn’t need a handbag to make a statement, because that clever belt comes with a circular buckle that doubled up as a small case, one that opens to reveal a compartment that will be able to house a couple of bits and bobs.

Look 2 and Look 3 followed up with an octagonal-shaped version which is slightly bigger, guaranteed to fit your cards and cash which is honestly a great deal considering belts are typically fashioned to be a simple accessory strapped around the waist/hip and nothing more. The Saffiano Belt With Case is a prime example of Prada taking a classic piece but giving it a twist, coming in a classy and elegant look without the OTT.

Aside from black, you would have spotted it in red and white on the runway, and you can expect more colours to be available in the boutiques when it officially launches at the end of the year. At SGD1720 each, the Saffiano Belt With Case is priced slightly higher than an embellished Prada belt, but this one comes with a handy function at the buckle, which is always a great thing for ladies (or men) who are on the hunt for a utilitarian piece from the Italian luxury brand. Opt for the circular version if you want a cleaner look, or go for the octagonal design if you’re looking to hold a tad bit more, the choice is entirely up to you.
