The set lunch at El Teatro Tapas is perfect for weight-watchers. I don’t think anyone will complain of feeling bloasted after lunch at this beautiful Spanish Restaurant at Capitol Kempinski Singapore.
The El Teatro Tapas Spanish Restaurant at Capitol Kempinski Singapore is one of several restaurants at the hotel that serves a variety of cuisines from around the world. Some of the other restaurants we have tried include the Thai restaurant Chalerm Thai, Italian restaurant La Scala Ristorante and German restaurant Frieda.
El Teatro Tapas Set Lunch Menu
On weekdays El Teatro Tapas offers a two or three course lunch menu for $19++ and $24++. We thought it was an attractively priced lunch at such a nice place in the City. There was another Singapore National Day 2020 menu priced at $55++. I am not sure how long that will run, but here is a picture of it.
Starters
Lunch started well with our appetisers. The Gazpacho From Andalucía
(Cold Tomato Soup, picture above) was colourful and a delicious. It reminded us of our lunch at El Pinton Seville. On a hot, bright day, the cold soup works as well in Singapore as in Andalucia.
Our other starter, Tostas de Escalivada (Grilled Vegetables, picture below) was even better. The simple grilled vegetables on toasted bread were quickly devoured.
The Main Courses
Our selected main courses were Croquetas De Pollo, Champiñones, Gambas (chicken, mushroom and prawn croquettes) and Gambas Al Ajillo (garlic prawns). Both tasted good, but we had to look for food not soon after our lunch at Capitol Kempinski. The croquettes in particular, was tapas-sized. We could eat a few more portions like this.
The garlic prawns was a more substantial dish, but I don’t think we need to worry about gaining weight by having the set lunch menu at El Teatro Tapas.
Our dessert was churros with chocolate. A nice Spanish dessert to round up our light lunch at the Spanish restaurant at Capitol Kempinski Singapore.
