How Much Can You Possibly Save From Using the NLB Mobile App?

Taking into consideration that you can gain tons of content from e-newspapers to online courses, this app is really valuable.

Let’s check out how much those subscriptions available via the NLB Mobile app would cost if you were to subscribe individually to the different content.

We will be assuming an individual subscribes to the following:

  • 1 e-magazine (Bloomberg Businessweek)
  • 1 international e-newspaper (The Washington Post)
  • 1 local e-newspaper (The Straits Times)
  • Lynda.com

We are also taking the basic packages available for customers.

Bloomberg Businessweek costs US$99 for 50 issues while The Washington Post costs US$29 for a year. These add up to US$128 or around S$176 per year.

As for the local newspaper, a basic digital individual access for The Straits Times costs S$14.90 per month, which totals up to S$178.80 per year.

One year’s worth of subscription to Lynda.com costs around S$25 per month or a yearly cost of S$300.

Subscription Cost
Bloomberg Businessweek S$176
The Washington Post
The Straits Times S$178.80
Lynda.com S$300
Total cost S$654.80

In all, the subscriptions cost almost S$655.

With the help of the app, users are likely to access more than the subscriptions shown above, given there are thousands of content available via the NLB Mobile app.

So, that’s a huge deal of content available in our pocket for a grand total of $0!
