On Wednesday, 31 August 2016, the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) launched MyProperty. MyProperty is an online portal that gives property owners access to their title deeds and boundary plans without charge.
Prior to MyProperty, anyone who wants access to a property title’s information has to acquire it through SLA’s Integrated Land Information Service (INLIS) subject to fees payable, ranging from S$5.25 to S$16, based on the type of information needed. This applies even to property owners who are checking on their own properties.
With MyProperty, such charges are lifted and title information is now accessible for free. MyProperty can be accessed at www.sla.gov.sg/MyProperty via a SingPass login. The current database comprises of all private property titles and about 130,000 HDB property titles. The remaining HDB property titles will be available on MyProperty by the end of 2019.
Members of the public can also expect more features out of MyProperty which will be launched subsequently, including services such as updating of personal information, subscribing to online alerts and view records related to each property, such as caveat and mortgage documents.
