Tiny SG: Luke’s Lobster Singapore – Famous New York Lobster Rolls Coming To Singapore At Orchard Road

For fans of Luke’s Lobster from New York City, yes… The famous Lobster Roll shop will be opening in Singapore anticipated next month.

The location will be at Shaw House, next to another new-to-Singapore brand Danish pastry shop Leckerbaer. (Coincidentally, another popular-from-NYC brand Shake Shack will be opposite across the road at Orchard Road’s Liat Towers.

Luke’s Lobster which also has an outlet in Tokyo, Japan, is popular with tourists and enjoys snaking queues at that Omotesando outlet.

Founder Luke Holden left his investment banking job, turned to seafaring roots to work with his dad, negotiated with lobster suppliers directly (to cut out the middle man), for traceable, sustainable seafood to those fresh lobster rolls.

Luke’s Maine-style lobster rolls are just ‘simple’ stuff – toasted buttered split top bun, with some mayo, lemon butter, secret spices and PURE LOBSTER.

Accordingly, each lobster roll requires 5 or 6 claws to make.

That does the trick – not diluted salad, not drowning in mayo, just pure good 4 ounces of fresh, sweet lobster.

There is usually a variety of items on the menu such as Lobster and Crab Rolls, Lobster and Shrimp Rolls, and Crab and Shrimp Rolls available, though fans of Luke’s Lobster would just advice you to stick to the lobster ones.

For price reference, a regular Lobster Roll is priced at USD17 (SGD23.70) in New York, and 1580 Yen (SGD20.50) in Tokyo.

The Singapore outpost is brought in by Caerus Holding, which is also behind New York’s famous cake boutique Lady M (and previously Pablo Cheese Tarts) in Singapore.
