Below are pictures of sections of the Brotzeit Takeaway Menu. The online menus for delivery and takeaway can be found on their website, as well as on the usual food delivery platforms.
Brotzeit Takeaway
We made a Brotzeit Takeaway order recently. We decided on a Farmer Dog ($16.05) and a Porky Cheese Burger ($14.98). There was a 15% discount for self-pickup.
The food was packed in sturdy brown cardboard boxes. When the boxes were opened up at home, everything inside looked neat and tidy.
Hot Dog
The Farmer Dog was a thick rustic sausage with course filling topped with apple slaw. The hot dog bun was soft and fluffy. The Farmer Dog was not bad but would probably be thought of as something to satisfy the appetite rather than to excite the palate.
Burger
The Porky Cheese Burger was the better of the 2 items. The Pork patty was thick. It was juicy and flavourful. The bun was dense and heavy. There was no fancy ingredient or exotic sauce. It was a s simple burger that was very filling and relishable. It would be a burger we would order again.
Variety of German Food
Some may have the impression that German food is bland and boring. Brotzeit’s Menu shows that German food is much more than just sausages and sauerkraut. The burger from Brotzeit was certainly not bland and in reality, there is a wide variety of German dishes. Now that Brotzeit has takeaway and islandwide delivery options, it will be convenient to try to explore more of the delightful and misunderstood world of German food.
